Summary
There is nothing in this book that would be found offensive for younger children. This work of non-fiction does an excellent job in portraying that children are no completely ignorant. Throughout the years grown-ups have been so concerned with censoring media and sheltering their children from the world. But kids really do know what is going on. They know about the wars and the poverty and the hunger and the environmental issues. They can grasp the art of globalization. Like how Celina said it made her sad when they chopped down the trees. Truthfully, it should make all human beings sad when they chop down the trees. But kids all around the world know this stuff--maybe not to the extent of the grown-ups--but they know stuff is going on. This book addresses that perfectly.
