Genre: Fiction/Picture Book
Age range: 5-8
Summary: There is nothing in this picture book that would be found offensive or inappropriate for younger readers. It is always exciting when a child learns how to talk. They ask a lot of questions and they talk nonstop. Growing up, little kids also have their favorite stuffed animal. And they carry it around with them everywhere. This little girl is no different. She talks and talks and talks and carries her knuffle bunny to school (and everywhere else) with her. Her friend Sonja has a knuffle bunny, too. At first, they argue over which knuffle bunny is better and how the word knuffle is pronounced. Eventually, the school day is over and they both go home. In the middle of the night, the protagonist realizes the bunny she took home with her is not her bunny, so she wakes her parents up in the middle of the night and urge them to make the call that will bring her own bunny home to her. Her dad obliges because he wants to return to bed sometime that night. He calls Sonja's parents and they report that their daughter has also noticed the difference in knuffle bunnies. The parents and children gather at the meeting place and the knuffle bunnies are back with their rightful owners. From then on out, the two girls became best friends and so did their knuffle bunnies.
