Genre: Fiction/Picture Book
Age range: 4-8
Summary: Nothing about this book is offensive for younger children. This funloving, simply tale is one about seven blind mice--all different colors--who find something strange by their pond. Each mouse goes to check out what it is and each one comes back reporting that it is something different. Until finally, the White Mouse comes back declaring it is none of these things. It is an elephant. This book is satiric for blind mice cannot see and yet they believe that they can because each one sees something different. The moral of this story? Partially knowing may make a great story, but knowing the entire story is wiser, usually.
